Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our plants, international shipping, and phytosanitary processes.

Shipping & Export Documents

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide! We have experience exporting live plants to the United States, Canada, the UK, Europe, and parts of Asia. All international shipments are handled securely using premium cargo services (such as DHL Express) to ensure your plants arrive as quickly as possible.
What is a Phytosanitary Certificate and do I need one?
A Phytosanitary Certificate is an official document issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture proving that the plants have been inspected and are free from pests and diseases. Yes, it is strictly required for international shipping. We handle the entire application process for you. It usually takes about 1-2 weeks to obtain the certificate before the package can be shipped.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs vary significantly based on your country, the total volumetric weight of the box, and the current rates from the courier. That is why we do not charge shipping at checkout. Instead, you will submit a quote request, and we will calculate the exact shipping fee + phytosanitary cost and send you a final invoice.
What is CITES and will it affect my order? (Export-Import Focus)
CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) regulates trade of certain wild plants. Most of our tissue-cultured aroids (Philodendron, Monstera, Scindapsus) are not CITES-listed and ship with only a Phytosanitary Certificate. A few wild-collected species (e.g., some Anthurium, Amydrium) may be CITES Appendix II and require an additional CITES permit (adds 5–7 days and approx. $15–$25 fee). We check every order before packing and will inform you via WhatsApp if your selected plants need CITES — no extra action needed from you.
Do I need an Import Permit?
It depends on your country:
USA: If importing >12 plants, USDA-APHIS requires a Small Lots of Seed / Plant Import Permit (free, apply online). For ≤12 plants, no permit needed but Phytosanitary Certificate is still required.
EU/UK: No import permit for small private imports, but you must provide a valid delivery address and phone for customs. We include a commercial invoice + Phytosanitary.
Canada/Australia/Japan: Some species are restricted — please share your country via WhatsApp before checkout and we will verify the latest import rules for you.
How long does the whole export process take? (Timeline)
Day 0: Order + payment confirmation
Day 1–2: Plant preparation, bare-root + moss wrap
Day 2–12: Phytosanitary inspection & certificate issuance by Indonesian Agriculture Ministry (1–2 weeks, + CITES 5–7 days if needed)
Day 13–16: DHL Express shipping (3–5 business days worldwide) with tracking number
You will receive WhatsApp updates at each step and a photo of the packed box before shipment.

Plant Care & Packing

How do you pack the plants for a long journey?
We use a highly specialized packing method for exports. The plants are shipped bare-root (without soil) to comply with international customs regulations. The roots are carefully wrapped in slightly moist premium sphagnum moss, and the foliage is protected with soft paper and dacron. Everything is secured in a rigid double-wall cardboard box to prevent any movement or crushing during transit.
Will the plant look exactly like the picture?
Unless stated as "WYSIWYG" (What You See Is What You Get) on the product page, the plant you receive will be a representation of the species shown. We guarantee it will be of similar size, leaf count, and health as the photographed specimen.

Guarantees & Refunds

What if my plant arrives dead or heavily damaged?
We offer a Live Arrival Guarantee. If your plant arrives dead or completely unviable, please send us a clear, unedited unboxing video within 24 hours of receiving the package. We will review the case and offer a replacement (you only pay for shipping) or a refund for the plant's cost. Minor cosmetic damages (like a yellowing bottom leaf or a bent stem) are normal during long-distance transit and are not covered, as the plant will recover easily with proper acclimation.
What happens if customs confiscates my package?
We provide all the necessary export documents from Indonesia. However, it is the buyer's responsibility to know the import regulations of their own country (e.g., needing an Import Permit for the USA if importing more than 12 plants). If a package is confiscated or destroyed by your local customs because you did not possess the required import documents, we cannot issue a refund.
